PROTESTER SHOT IN ABUJA

A protester was today, December 1st, 2011 shot  by the police in Wuse area of  Abuja. The protester whose name was not given, was in the midst of others  protesting the incessant disturbance of the law enforcement agencies in the area, which puts their job to a halt at all times. The protesters who were said to be drivers blocked all the roads leading to Wuse and as such put all vehicular and human movement to a stop, as it lasts.
Until  a group of armed police men stormed the area shooting sporadically into the air and one of them unfortunately short one of the protesters.
When this happened, we were told that the protesters got infuriated that they had to put their  member who was shot in a wheelbarrow and  pushed him around, with all of them holding leaves and chanting and singing  in the spirit of protest.

MERCY JOHNSON ADDRESSES BLINDNESS RUMOUR

It has come to our notice that Mercy Johnson had been on the war path with the producer  of the movie she featured in, where she was wearing  a blind makeup.
The reason given according to our source is that the producer allegedly passed the rumour of Mercy involving in a fight in a movie location that led to her losing one of her eye balls.
For Mercy,  It was wrong to use a rumour of such magnitude just to achieve a publicity stunt for his movie.
Well,  after a careful consideration of the original source of that rumour, our candid advice to Mercy, is to drop accusations against the poor producer, as it was a Nigerian tabloid  who steered the controversy, after using a photograph of hers on a blind makeup, as a lead cover pix.

Meanwhile here is a statement, as released by Mercy Johnson's publicist, thereafter;

"As at the time of writing this, blogspheres and entertainment industry is awashed with rumour that star actress, Mercy Johnson suffered blindness and experienced a terrible accident that led to her death.
This rumor has no resemblance or iota of truth. Mercy is on a movie location in Lagos and getting set for her trip to Australia in a matter of days.
After diligent investigation, we discovered the rumour started as a result of a publicity stunt initiated by producer of a movie where Mercy’s character lost an eye. Another part of the rumor was started by detractor whose only goal is pull MJ down by all means.
It is despicable to note that these rumors were strengthened by writers who did not crosscheck before posting on their blogs, platforms or newspapers. We decry this act of insensitivity and irresponsibility especially as it affects family, friends and fans.
We appreciate family, friends and fans that have taken time to call out of concern and love and we wish to let them know that mercy is hale and hearty.
We implore bloggers and writers to kindly cross check reports on mercy with us to avoid using their platforms to promote falsehood and abate inappropriate ‘’PR stunts’’ by those who want to sell their movies or those whose goal is to pull others down at all costs"
 Mercy is alive not dead!

GOGE AFRICA PRESENTER, NNEKA MOSES CONFIRMS 1ST PREGNANCY AS COBHAMS AND WIFE GETS BABY BOY

Nneka and Isaac mosses

A very, very big miracle has just happened in the lives of Goge Africa presenters, Isaac and Nneka Moses. The Almighty God has finally hearkened to their supplications. And any moment from now, the cries of a new baby will envelop their home.
Cobhams Asuquo and wife
Gap-toothed and gorgeous Nneka is finally pregnant – and the whole world can’t wait to celebrate with them. Married since 12 years ago, the showbiz couple had been clinging unto God for a child of their own. Interestingly, Nneka had taken in soon after their marriage at the Catholic Church of Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos in 1998. But lost it after about six months. Thereafter, taking in again became a herculean task. Born in Apapa and raised in Surulere, both in Lagos, the duo met on the set of Love in Vendetta in 1996. One thing led to another and they became lovers, courted for one year and solemnized the union after an additional year.
A native of Ihiala in Anambra State, Nneka read English Language at the University of Lagos. Her mother is a teacher cum seamstress while her father is a lawyer. In love with watching movies, reading, relaxing, jogging and clubbing, her favourite food include vegetable soup with semovita or okro and hot rice and fish.
Her husband, Isaac, has one of the best voices in the country. And besides being a voice over artiste, he also models. One of his TV commercials for United Bank of Africa (UBA) is still all over the screen. From Enugu Ukwu, also in Anambra State, they jointly present and produce Goge Africa which has taken them both far and near and also made them household names in Nigeria and Africa.
In a chat with a Nigerian tabloid, YES International! on Thursday, November 17, 2011, Nneka confirmed the good news, but pleaded that we wait till she finally brings to bed for an elaborate interview.
On how she feels about her pregnancy, she retorted: “How should a pregnant woman feel?” Lastly, she assured us that she would make the photographs of her baby available soon after her delivery.
On the other hand,  Music producer  pa excellence, Cobhams Asuquo and wife, Odunola Asuquo, yesterday Nov 30th, welcomed their long awaited first child, a baby boy. The baby arrived yesterday afternoon at a US hospital.
