CALABAR CARNIVAL ORGANISERS TO SUE MIAMI RAPPER, RICK ROSS

Organizers of the Calabar Festival, as you read this are about filling a suit against Miami based rapper, Rick Ross, over an alleged breach of contract

Rick Ross who was contracted to perform at the U.J Esuene stadium in Carlabar during the just Carlabar Carnival, cancelled his performance at last minute, over what he termed 'unfulfiled contractual obligations'. according to insiders, Ross' statement is questionable, because a statement released by the organizers of the event, states that the rapper confirmed receipt of his entire performance fee weeks before the event. 

Below is a statement issued by Carlabar Carnival organizers in reply to Rick Ross' statement.

‘Cross River State and its agents have retained counsel in the United States to pursue their legal and monetary remedies against the artist’, the statement on their official website reads.

‘The Calabar Festival concerts raise money for many charities across Nigeria. The performance by Rick Ross was scheduled to raise significant amounts for the Destiny Child Centre Charity’, it further reads.

The show, yesterday, still went on despite Ross’ absence as fans gathered to watch the other headliners Psquare, Wizkid, Banky W, OJB Jezreel and others at the U.J Esuene stadium.
