Wema Bank cuts over to FINACLE 10 banking platform

Wema Bank, Nigeria’s most resilient and longest surviving indigenous Bank has completed the migration of its Core Banking Application to Finacle 10, a global standard robust and secure banking platform. In an e-mail sent to its customers this week, the Bank announced a cut over date of Monday, December 05 2011 to commence operations on this new platform.
According to Olayinka Oni, Divisional Head, Information Technology & Operations, the migration will improve service delivery across all of the Bank’s platforms and will boost the Bank’s capacity to provide efficient electronic banking and in-branch services in a stable environment. He further added that backed by other service initiatives which the Bank is currently implementing,  Wema bank customers will begin to experience a new dimension to excellent banking services.

SANI DANJA TAKES OVER NORTHERN SHOWBIZ SCENE

Regular readers of this blog would attest that in recently, we brought you the story of foremost northern glo ambassador, and actor turned singer, Sani Musa Danja, who will be the first Nigerian artiste to launch his album in 12 different states in the country.
The event which kicked off with performances from some of Nigeria’s most brilliant artistes like Soul E, Nita J, Kt40 and others, saw the large crowd cheering joyously as each artiste graced the stage to perform.
However, the event took a new route when the man of the moment himself, Sani Danja, set the stage on fire as he performed popular tracks from the much anticipated album, ‘New guy in town’
The historical album tour cum lunch which held in Kaduna, had the venue filled to capacity, with men, women, young and old, who turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of Sani, who did not disappoint them.
An obviously joyous Sani told us ‘This is just the beginning of the journey. We are storming Abuja on December 16 and my fans are not going to witness anything less.’
Asked how he intends to combine his musical career with locations, the amiable and hardworking actor assured that he has all that it takes to manage all aspects of his creativity. ‘I did not just stumble into music, it has always been a part of me from the beginning and if you must know, I started doing music before I came into the movie industry, and I adapted immediately, without any difficulty, because they are all art and as someone who knows the art, you will know when to drop a particular character for another. You will know when you are singing and differentiate it  from when you are on the set of a movie. So, it’s no case marrying my singing and acting abilities’.
